How do implantable contact lenses work?
ICLs function like regular contact lenses by correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Unlike traditional contacts worn on the eye’s surface, ICLs are surgically placed inside the eye. Also called phakic intraocular lenses (IOLs), they work alongside your natural lens to improve vision without replacing it.
